Botanical Stripe Handmade Ceramic Butter Bell

A little bit of art for the butter dish.

This handmade ceramic butter bell combines soft cream stoneware with hand-painted charcoal-green stripes and a delicate botanical illustration on the lid. The result is wonderfully simple and slightly whimsical, with just enough pattern to make it a beautiful addition to your kitchen table.

Designed to hold 250g of butter, this traditional butter bell keeps butter soft and spreadable, ready for toast, fresh bread and the important business of putting butter on absolutely everything.

Each butter bell is handmade in small batches, so the painted lines, botanical details and glaze will vary slightly from piece to piece. No two will be exactly alike.

How it works:
Place softened butter into the bell-shaped lid and add a small amount of fresh water to the base. The water creates a seal that helps keep the butter fresh and beautifully spreadable. Change the water regularly.
